Lusterweibchen Chandelier, circa 1800

About the Item

German chandelier, circa 1800. The literal translation of Lusterweibchen is "little woman chandelier." Featuring red stag antlers and a carved female in Renaissance style dress with lanterns, this chandelier showcases the entire figure of the woman rather than a waist up figure as most do. Unlike many Lusterweibchen from this era that have been drilled out and wired for electric use, this chandelier is in its original unmodified condition.
