About the Item
This Margit Wittig pendant (ceiling light) features two pearl shaped and cuboid bio-resin elements which are cast and hand patinated in her London studio. Each component is finished with several pigment and wax layers to enhance their unique surface texture.
Margit Wittig is inspired by modern artists and sculptors such as Giacometti and Ivon Hitchens. Her work is constantly evolving using different textures as the driving force - intertwined with her work with color. Her functional art spreads the gamit from modern simplicity to rich and complex designs and color. Her pieces are placed with collectors around the globe.
Please note: Although our lights are wired using UL listed components for the US, each light fitting is not UL listed.

Margit Wittig
London based artist, Margit Wittig creates bespoke lighting and occasional furniture. All pieces are hand-made and through her work Margit allows her clients to evoke a narrative to express their own taste and style in their interiors. Although the work is contemporary, it is often blended into classically styled interiors. Margit’s work can best be described as versatile, functional art although she is an artist, sculptor and painter by training. Kit Kemp of Firmdale Hotels – think New York’s Whitby Hotel and London’s Ham Yard - describes Margit’s work as ‘curious, intriguing, classical yet lyrical’. All of her lighting, furniture and accessories are made to order and come in resin, some with touches of hand-blown glass.
The 90cm drop is adjustable to the customers needs. Price may vary.
