Mid-Century Chandelier Designed by Oscar Torlasco, 1970s

About the Item

Super rare ceiling light designed by Oscar Torlasco. Made in Italy in the 1970s. 12 light bulbs. The glass lenses are in Murano glas. Each lentic glass are set in a metal structure with a mouth shape. Torlascos eclectic designs ranged in style from industrial and Space Age to Italian Art Deco. The use of optical glass lenses within his designs is considered Torlasco's signature. In 1959, he was awarded a Compasso d`Oro for his public street light Genova 4053 (1959).
