Modernist Five Tier Topaz & Translucent Handblown Murano Glass Chandelier
About the Item
This refined modernist chandelier was realized in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for their superlative glass production. It features a conical body- consisting of five circular rows hung with an abundance of topaz discs that diminish in diameter towards the center. The handblown Murano discs offer opaque topaz centers and transparent perimeters in hand blown Murano glass- attached to a lustrous chrome body. The chandelier is suspended from the ceiling via a domed canopy and chain, also in chrome. With its clean lines- inspired by Mid-Century Modern design at its finest- and sumptuous color palate, this chandelier would be a winning addition to any style of interior. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent condition. The height can be adjusted to suit. The chandelier accommodates six Edison based bulbs providing up to 600 watts of light.
