This refined modernist chandelier was realized in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production. It features a conical body composed of a wealth of handblown Murano circular shades with opaque centers and translucent surrounds in a rich amethyst hue. The chandelier attaches to the ceiling via a lustrous chrome chain and a conical canopy that formally reiterates the curvilinear forms expressed elsewhere in the chandelier. With its unparalleled glass quality and clean modernist lines, this piece would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary. Its vibrant, yet subtle color is versatile, blending with a wide variety of palettes and offering a nice "pop" of color and verve to virtually any interior setting.
