Modernist Handblown Murano Glass Sputnik Chandelier w/ Vellum Hue Shades & Brass
About the Item
This captivating and graphic modernist sputnik chandelier was handblown in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production. It features an abundance of orbs in handblown Murano glass of a sophisticated vellum hue connected to cylindrical polished brass rods exploding outwards from a spherical center. Full of verve and dynamism, this piece embodies the verve and sophisticated form that discerning collectors of modernist Italian design prize. It would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary. The chandelier has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent condition. The height can be adjusted to suit. The chandelier accommodates 30 G9 bulbs offering 40 watts max each bulb.
