About the Item
Provenance.- This chandelier came from the Keski-Lahti wood church, refer to pictures.
Paavo tynell was known as the man who illuminated Finland. Under his leadership most of Finland´s public buildings and offices, railway stations, universities, hospitals, public buildings, etc.. as well as private residents were illuminated by Taito and then Idman Oy.
This chandelier is monumental in size yet very simple in its design. Rarely did Paavo take ideas from past styles, but here we see that by adding a few simple touches to the old Baroque style, he turned this chandelier into a very modern and elegant one.
This lamp is also stamped Taito.
