Pair of 18th Century Italian Rococo Gold Leaf Tassel Ornaments

About the Item

Pair of 18th century Italian hand-carved gold leaf tassel ornaments. They are two of the same shape of tassel but in two different sizes - one big (8.5 inches tall) and the other smaller (6.5 inches tall). The tassels originally came from an Italian church in Tuscany and were used during feast days. They were commonly used to adorn 18th and 19th century French and Italian chandeliers or wall sconces. The tassels are incredibly rare to come by and can't be found anywhere else. The historically significant and rare gold leaf tassels can be used for many different design purposes. They can adorn and drip from chandeliers, be used as holiday ornaments and decorations to recreate a Rococo-style Christmas, or hung on their own in their own significance. * Includes original metal hooks. * Can be bought individually upon request.
