'Pannelli' Ceiling Lamps by Venini , Italy, 1970's

About the Item

These glass panels designed and manufactured by Venini in the 1970's were made as part of a lighting installation for the Cassa Di Risparmio in Cento, Italy. For the premises of the financial institution, constructed after a design by the architect Manfredo Vaccari Giglioli, the glassworks was involved in the creation of a complex ceiling light structure for the large public hall, with square panels (45 x45 cm) having a protruding part with an oval-shaped cross-sec- tion. The panels are in cristallo glass and in some cases include patches of teal and pagliesco colour at the embossing. This listing is for a pair ( one amber and one clear) square glass panels. Each Panel measuring 45 x 45cm each.
