Patinated Brass and Textured Glass Chandelier by Rupert Nikoll, Austria, 1950s
About the Item
A fantastic disc shaped light fixture by Rupert Nikoll, Vienna, manufactured in midcentury, circa 1950.
The lamp is made of a seamless brass belt with holes of varying sizes. The hot and molten glass was handblown through the belt. The brass got a unique and wonderful patina because of the high temperature of the melted glass during the manufacturing process. Each light has a unique patina and is a one-of-a-kind piece.
The bottom of the body has a textured glass structure which is similar to the lights of Kalmar from that time period.
The light has three sockets for medium or standard screw base bulbs and it is featured with an US canopy.
The height of the body without rod is ca. 6.9 inch / 17 cm. The overall drop can be customized for free of charge. A rod in any length can be provided.
