The lamp is often attributed to the "space age style". I find this classification more appropriated for cheap plastic lamps of the late 70s. This "Deutsche Methacrylat Nylon Deckenlampe" from Paul Secon is for it's time revolutionary. Due to the complex fabrication of the "new" material it openened a new way to look on lighting.
