The special collections are exclusively handmade to order by the designers Esther Jongsma and Sam Van Gurp.
The creation of these art pieces takes place at Vantot studio in Eindhoven, The Netherlands.
The designers focus a lot on details and produce each piece with top-quality materials.
Vantot based this collection on the idea that electric current is a fundamental part of our home interiors and appliances. It is often perceived as dangerous. Vantot takes a different approach by designing innovative, low voltage lighting objects that step away from the traditional concept of a lamp and a power cord. Instead, they design objects that are fully conductive while safe to touch.
While it opens up a world of design opportunities, LED requires a different approach than conventional lighting. Compared to traditional fixtures, the focused and dense light of LED calls for multiple light sources instead of one.

Since 2014, Esther Jongsma and Sam van Gurp co-founding a workshop in Eindhoven’s industrial district-turned-creative breeding ground, Sectie C. Working under the moniker Vantot, the duo conceives projects inspired by industrial processes and technical developments while making sure to ground the creations with a dose of humanized innovation. Electricity is a prevalent fixture in Jongsma and van Gurp’s designs and aligns with the pair’s belief that the role of a designer is to connect past and present craftsmanship as well as different industries.
