Rare Arteluce Acrylic Glass Chandelier, Italy, 1970s

About the Item

This extraordinary chandelier by the renowned Italian lighting manufacturer Arteluce is a true collector’s piece and a striking example of 1970s Space Age design. With its sculptural and futuristic aesthetic, this exceptional fixture embodies the bold elegance and innovation of Italian mid-century lighting. The chandelier features five large, dome-shaped shades crafted from high-quality white Plexiglas, beautifully framed by a dynamic structure of curved, orange-lacquered metal arms. The warm, vibrant orange hue contrasts perfectly with the glossy white domes, creating a harmonious balance of color and form. The play of light through the domes offers a soft, diffused glow, enhancing the atmosphere of any space. A true statement piece, this chandelier is both visually stunning and functionally exquisite. While one of the Plexiglas elements has a small imperfection on the top, this is completely invisible when viewed from below and does not detract from the lamp’s overall beauty and elegance. Arteluce, founded by Gino Sarfatti, is synonymous with cutting-edge design and exceptional craftsmanship, making this chandelier not only a luxurious addition to any interior but also a valuable piece of design history. Ideal for collectors, design enthusiasts, or anyone looking to elevate their space with a rare and breathtaking lighting masterpiece. The light requires six E14 light bulbs. Works with US and European electrics 110/120/220V. Very good vintage condition. Free worldwide express shipping.
