Rare Monumental Luigi Caccia Dominioni Grappolo Mid Century Chandelier

About

Rare, sought after and designed by Luigi Caccia Dominioni in 1965 and produced by Azucena, the firm he formed In 1947 together with fellow architect Ignazio Gardella and friend Corrado Corradi dell’Acqua. . The Grappolo is a suspension light with three Murano frosted glass globes, separated by a spacer and trefoil in burnished brass, socket element in metallic grey aluminum, ceiling hook in burnished iron and chain with twisted rings in grey painted iron. The chain length is readily adjustable. The Grappolo light is extremely popular with architects and designers, the size, shape and materials, lending itself to large spaces. Takes medium based bulbs, 100 watts max each. Measurements: Overall height 77" x 36" diameter. Each globe 16" diameter. Bottom of globe to triangular separator 22". 55" of chain.
