Vintage Mouthblown Venetian & Murano Marked Glass into Metal Frame Pendant Light
About the Item
Marvelous shape, 1950s Venetian pendant with the original maker's mark.
This midcentury made, Italian light fixture is an absolute joy to look at, both on and off. With the light switched off, it is an Italian work of glass art on your ceiling and with the light switched on, it radiates a warm light that also casts beautiful shades on your ceiling and walls. This prime example comes with the original metal chain and hand-hammered canopy and also a stylish 'rosette' at the bottom. The Murano sticker is physical prove that this light fixture was truly made in Venice, Italy, circa 1950. This rare chandelier was offered to us by the former owner, a retired, third generation artisan framer from Amsterdam who told us that his grandfather purchased it for their entryway. We have cleaned the glass inside and out and it is rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate use in the USA as well.
