About the Item

Primary use Mining explosion-proof luminaire for flameproof construction. Explosion-proof luminaires were designed to illuminate gas decks of methane gas mines and other surfaces and rooms with a risk of explosion " B "1" C "with a concentration of methane not exceeding 2%. The covers were produced in accordance with the Polish standards valid at that time and were certified by The Central Mining Institute of the Experimental Mine "Barbara." According to PN (Polish Norm), the covers were subjected to tests for the strength of static water pressure of 10 atmospheres in 1 minute. The lamp had a degree of protection against electric shock "I", the degree of protection against the ingress of foreign bodies and water "IP 65". Manufacturer: Spóldzielnia Pracy "Energia" in Sosnowiec Time period: late 1940s Construction The lamp body is made of pressure cast aluminium, the diffuser is made of transparent tempered glass secured with a steel wire mesh mounted on an aluminium ring with a hinge. The flameproof frame is made of porcelain. The bulb is E 27 thread. The cover is equipped with socket chokes allowing the introduction of electric wires, adapted to hang on hooks. Final power supply.
