Angelo Lelii floor lamp model 14002 Arredoluce 1966

About the Item

An exceptional example of Italian modernist design, this elegant floor lamp (model 14002) was designed by Angelo Lelii and produced by Arredoluce in Italy 1966. A true icon of minimalist lighting, this piece is both a functional object and a collectible design statement. The lamp features a clean, chrome-plated steel stem with a sleek and refined silhouette. The metal base, finished in matte black, houses the integrated transformer and original on/off switch, keeping the design seamless and uncluttered. The vertical rod is magnetized, allowing for smooth height adjustment of the light source, which can be precisely positioned with ease. At the top, the lamp is fitted with a polished chrome-plated steel diffuser that incorporates an original vintage car headlight, an innovative and characteristic detail of Lelii’s bold, industrial-influenced approach. The headlight not only adds a sculptural touch but also provides focused, atmospheric lighting, ideal for both residential and gallery spaces. This specific lamp is the exact lamp is featured in the Arredoluce book where the previous owner lended the lamp out to have them use it for the catalogue Raisonné, underscoring its rarity as they didn’t have any archival pictures of this specific model. Also underscoring its authenticity and design pedigree. It functions perfectly, with a new original-spec lamp just installed. Literature; Arredoluce, Catalogo Ragionato 1943 – 1987 Catalogue Raisonné, page 294. A rare opportunity to own a timeless piece of 20th-century Italian lighting, combining technical ingenuity with minimalist aesthetics.
