French Art Deco Hand-Hammered Wrought Iron (Fer Forgé Martelé) Floor Lamp, 1930s

About the Item

A vintage Art Deco floor lamp (torchère) completely forged and hammered by hand, 1930’s. The French term for wrought iron is “fer forgé” and for hand hammered, “martelé”. It has a beautiful warm patina. Sitting on top is a thick opaque beige glass ribbed shade. Overall, the lamp is in very good condition. Accepts North American standard home incandescent or LED lightbulbs. DIMENSIONS: Height: 65.5 in. (166.6 cm.) Width (at base): 15.75 in. (40.1 cm.) Width (shade): 16 in. (40.7 cm.)
