This pole lamp was designed by Gerald Thurston and manufactured by Lightolier, in USA, during the 1950s. This lamp must be stick between floor and ceiling, works with a spring. From 215 cm up to 245 cm, through an extension tube similar to the central tube of the lamp. It features three brass spots that can be adjusted individually and turn on /off, still with the original metal diffusers. Good vintage condition with some oxidation and tarnishing on the metal parts of the tension pole and at the golden shades, small stains and scratches, outside and inside. Fully working order with beautiful light effects. Many positions of the lamp in a room its possible: in near of a wall, in a corner or free in the room. Perfect addition for any modern interior to place in your library, living room or bedroom.
"Although Lightolier did not invented the first pole light, the company certainly advanced this type of lighting when it introduced the Lytespan system in 1959. The Lytespan was the first pole light to incorporate interchangeable lighting elements and could be installed either from ceiling to floor or table to ceiling without the use of tools. (...)
