Murano glass floor lamp attributed to Barovier & Toso, Italy, 1940s.

About the Item

Murano glass floor lamp attributed to Barovier & Toso, Italy, 1940s. Elegant floor lamp composed of a sequence of hand-blown Murano glass elements with fine diagonal ribbing, connected by small brass spacers and resting on a large circular spiral-molded glass base. The alternating rhythm of the blown glass volumes gives the piece a strong vertical presence while maintaining remarkable visual lightness. The subtle texture of the transparent glass catches and diffuses the light, enhancing the depth of each individual element and revealing the exceptional quality of the Murano craftsmanship. The original proportions, together with the restrained use of brass details, define a refined composition that is both decorative and architectural. Italy, 1940s.
