About the Item
The cocoon series depicts our vulnerable, yet resilient earth. The combination of lighting and translucent polyester creates a diffused light which can develop a dreamy atmosphere.
This edition is inspired by stone corals. The shape of the polyester shade is created intuitively and is formed by hand.
Cocoon is equipped with G4 LED lights with a very long lifespan. Should the lights, in case of an unfortunate event, need replacement? Do not worry any longer! Your Cocooon comes with a spare set and a manual so you can replace it easily.
Because I've found it difficult to choose for you, I also added a set of transparent caps for the legs as a little extra. These are easy to replace by pulling off the original caps.

Studio Adinda
Adinda de Kousemaeker is a Dutch visual artist. In 2020 she founded Studio Adinda and under this name she creates diverse, exclusive artworks and design pieces in her workshop in Utrecht, The Netherlands. In her art, nature is a constant source for inspiration. Adinda: ‘We are becoming increasingly alienated from nature. We epilate our body, have no idea how our food grows and take for granted that water comes from the tap. I wonder how we can feel more empathy for our earth and for the things that are emotionally distant from us?’
