About the Item
Rare floor lamp by and marked Targetti.
We have sold many rare antiques and works of art, but this could be the rarest we ever sold when it comes to the Mid-Century Modern era. We have never seen anything like this work of Targetti lighting art and we cannot find another one in the world. This large Targetti floor lamp looks to be inspired by the Industrial and telecommunication developments in the 1960s and 1970s. This sturdy lamp has a blue and white metal frame with a top consisting of layered dishes that create a cool radiation of light. The three 'half-ball' feet are grey painted and there is a tiny red light in the middle of the triangle shaped, blue painted metal base. The little blue 'door' that gives access to the electrical centre of this lamp opens by using a turning 'button' which is marked Targetti (see image). This rare, stunning and sizable floor lamp will grace any mid-century home or boardroom and it will never fail to impress.
