Rare Minimalist Icon Tito Agnoli 387 Floor Lamp Oluce 1950s Early Model

About the Item

Largest Version 200 cm tall and early edition of the " 387 " Tito Agnoli floor lamp designed in 1954 and executed by Oluce, Itlay 1950s. The superb italian minimalist design lighting icon is documented in " Repertorio Del Design Italiano 1950-2000 per L'arredamento Domestico by Gramigna, Giuliana, Vol. 1, Torino 2003, S. 39 ". The standard lamp convinces through its brilliant simplicity, its purist and elegant silhouette which combines form and function. No wonder that this refined floor lamp is now considered to be a key piece of Modern Minimalism. Early and authentic midcentury edition, featuring a nickel-plated steel pole on a sophisticated thick travertine marble base, a height adjustable stainless steel light source with original Cornalux " hammerhead " light bulb which creates diffuse light and which can be rotated 360 degrees. Wiring, bulb and switch are perfect, so the lamp is fine working and ready to use. It stays in very good original vintage condition with minor characteristic wear consistent with age and use. Dimensions, 200 cm / 78.74 inches tall, width 20 cm / 7.87 inches, width of base 17 cm / 6.69 inches Please note that Tito Agnoli was several times recommended for the Compasso d'Oro (Golden Compass) Award, in 1986 he won the Gold Medal at the Neocon in Chicago. Some of his pieces are part of the permanent collection of the MoMa in New York.
