Castiglioni Style Italian Wall Ceiling Light Flush Mount Aluminum Black, 1960s
About the Item
Rare Italian ceiling flush mount or wall light with attribution to Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, Italy around 1960s to 1970s. The cool space-age lamp is made of stronger brushed aluminum with a black enameled base as rim and a large opaque white E27 standard bulb to illuminate which is included this sale. Wiring is perfect so all is fine working and ready to use. The light-weight lamp has a width of 45 cm / 17.72 inches and it is 22 cm / 8.66 inches tall including bulb, 15 cm / 5.91 inches without. The large midcentury light stays in very good vintage condition, few minor bruises visible by a close inspection and minor wear consistent with age and use. The rare light is a cool match to design interiors with furniture by Willy Rizzo, Paco Rabanne and Pierre Cardin or interiors which typically reflect the spirit of the 1960s to 1970s.
