About the Item
The enchanting town of Savannah is home to many historically significant buildings, often carefully restored, and now some of the finest examples of the prevailing architectural styles of the 18th and 19th centuries. The Savannah Lantern, a custom commissioned piece, draws from this rich history, borrowing design motifs found in these varied architectural periods: the balanced nature of the Georgian style, the vertical accents from the Second French Empire and the sloped roofs of Greek Revival. A Classic lantern that evokes both substance and spirit.
Produced in the highest quality heavy gauge bronze material and coated with DLG's custom bronze finish.

- Condition:As with any handcrafted product, slight discrepancies are inherent in the art of forged iron, and even considered desirable as they indicate our old-world craftsmanship. Natural variations in tone or texture my occur as our finishes are hand-painted.

Classic metal work combined with unique detailing, heavy gauge iron and meticulous American craftsmanship ensures both a quality and timeless product. Authentic designs suit projects of varied styles, from Spanish Colonial, and Italian Mediterranean to Rustic Gothic, French Tudor, and Contemporary. As a high-end real estate developer, Founder Jimmy Rickard, was inspired to create a carefully curated collection of custom quality, impeccably designed exterior wrought iron lanterns. Through weekly collaborative design sessions with local architect Britt Jewett, SBLCo’s polished line of one-of-a-kind outdoor light fixtures was born. Their approach to design is led by the nature of the material and the history of the craft. These traditional details are what SBLCo has become known for and intuitively convey a handmade character to our designs. SBLCo uses only the highest grade, heavy-gauge metal, local artisans crafting each light by hand, and high quality finishes to extend the life of our product, applied by hand.
