Rare German Mid-Century Blue Bubble 'Efeso' Glass Flush Mount Light, circa 1970
About the Item
Beautiful and very rare mid-century blue bubble glass square / cube flush mount wall light or sconce with minimalist chrome plated metal backplate by Glashütte Limburg, Germany. Made in the later half of the 1970s to early 1980s, this gorgeous wall lamp features wonderfully made, mouth blown glass - quite possibly produced in Murano or could also have been made by one of the many glass factories within Germany. The glass technique seems to be 'Efeso' glass with air bubbles in it and wonderful colors / colours of dark blue (almost black), ocean blue, turquoise, brown and clear glass. The light fixture illuminates beautifully - casting a wonderful and colorful light pattern across a wall or ceiling - perfect for a small powder room, reading nook, bathroom or hallway.
Requires one standard E14 light bulb (60Watt Max.).
