Mid-Century French Louis XVI Carved Giltwood Six-Light Celling Lantern
About the Item
Bring Classic, French elegance into your home with this large midcentury Louis XVI style carved lantern. Crafted in France, circa 1960, this traditional hexagonal light fixture is a true showstopper. The wood lantern has beautiful carvings including a top with cherubs figures, and features six lights decorated with wax candles, and centered around a brass stem. Each of the six sides is complete with glass panels, and the bottom is embellished with an ornate cone shaped finial. The ceiling fixture is in excellent condition with a rich patinated gilt finish. This light fixture would make a nice addition to an entryway, hallway or landing.
Included: A canopy, loop, and chain; each color-matched to the fixture.
