An exceptional, fine and impressive set of four antique George V English sterling silver candlesticks; an addition to our antique silverware collection These exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V sterling silver candlesticks have a circular knopped tapering form to a circular spreading base. The circular bell-shaped capitals are embellished with embossed fluted decoration and retain the original hallmarked detachable circular sconces, each encompassed with thread decoration to the rim. The capitals are supported by circular tapering columns, ornamented with further embossed fluted decoration. Each candlestick column is further ornamented with thread decorated rounded knops. The lower portion of each column features a plain rounded knop to a spreading circular base. The rims of the bases are encompassed with fluted decoration, reflecting that of the capital and column.
