Doppio Vetro Applique, Wall Lamp by Ignazio Gardella for TATO

About the Item

Wall light with brass body and prismatic glass shades, with internal satin and external glossy finishing. Bulbs: 3xLED E27/E26 (not included). This is Ignazio Gardella's most recognizable industrial design product. Starting from two very technical-looking molded glass hemispheres, the architect managed to create an object of great poetry and elegance, declined both as a wall and ceiling lamp. It was often used in the entrances of aristocratic or newly built palaces during the post-war period in Milan, so much so that it is not difficult to find many examples of it still on display and in use today. The conformation of its prismatic glass allows a soft diffusion of the light, bringing poetry back to the environments in which it is placed.
