Flavio Poli Sconce for Seguso, Bronze Glass & Chrome, Italy, 1960s

About the Item

Marvelous and very rare wall sconce in thick smoked bronze glass and chrome-plated steel. This stylish piece was designed by Flavio Poli and produced by Seguso in Murano during the 1960s. Fully original and in amazing condition, with no chips or cracks; the few marks visible on the chrome are simply fingerprints. This refined sconce features a striking geometric composition with a thick circular diffuser in smoked amber Murano glass mounted on a chrome-plated steel structure. The contrast between the thick bronze-toned glass and the shiny chromed metal is incredibly elegant. When illuminated, the effect is simply spectacular, enhancing the outstanding quality and depth of the Murano glass. Professionally rewired and tested, compatible with both US and EU/UK standards, it uses one standard E26/E27 light bulb. A rare and elegant piece, ideal for a Mid-Century Modern, Space Age, or contemporary interior. Dimensions (cm/in): Depth: 22 cm / 8.66 in Width: 16 cm / 6.3 in Height: 13 cm / 5.12 in
