French Empire Ormolu Bronze Figural Sconces
About the Item
Our exceptional pair of gilt bronze Empire period sconces, circa 1810, feature the patinated figures of neoclassical females holding two candle arms with drapery motif, standing upon round pedestals decorated with a lion's pelt, set upon corbels affixed to wall plates. With modern sockets and wiring and ready for installation. Each in good condition, with scratches, rubbing wear and oxidation to the gilded surfaces.
