'JinShi Pink Jade Wall Light #2' by acclaimed design duo Studio MVW is an impressive 183 cm long wall lamp including six retro-lit pink jade heads. It is part of ‘JinShi Pink Jade', a precious collection of furniture and lights featuring pink jade, an exceptional natural gemstone with a sumptuous powder transparency. ‘JinShi’ literal translation means ‘Gold Stone’. Each work is a true jewel for the home. 'JinShi' luminous consoles and 'JinShi' lamps combine natural pink jade illuminated by hidden LEDs and a structure in anodized stainless steel colored in brass with a subtile pink gold shade. In the 'JinShi' coffee table, a large pink jade top looks like it is levitating on three golden spheres. This design was awarded a Wallpaper* Design Award in 2018. The 'JinShi' collection of furniture and lights offers an interplay of curves and lines that defines a minimalist balance of forms while the sensuality of pink jade offers a refinement that is unique in today's furniture design. Each work in the collection is also available in a gunmetal grey anodized version. Founded in Shanghai by Chinese designer Xu Ming and French architect Virginie Moriette, Studio MVW is known for their sculptural, architectural forms and ability to subtly connect contemporary Western and Eastern aesthetics. With over twenty years of experience in architecture, interior and furniture design, Studio MVW has won numerous awards in Asia and Europe, including the Architectural Digest AD China 100 Design Talents Award (2017, 2015 and 2013) and the Wallpaper* Design Award (2018, 2014).
