Pair French Maison Baguès Crystal Parrot Sconces, Early Twentieth Century
Located in Charleston, SC
This Regal pair of Maison Baguès Tôle and Crystal Parrot Wall Sconces with Foliage Branches were made in France in the early Twentieth Century. Each of the opposing Baguès Wall Sconces have a hand-carved Crystal Parrot with Silvered Backs that are mirroring each other. Each of the Silvered Backed Crystal Parrots are opposing each other and are perched on a Tôle Corbel with the original paint. The Crystal Birds are perched above the Tôle Empire Corbels that have a Foliage wrapped scrolled top and descends into a V with a hanging crystal acorn finial drop at the bottom. Attached to each Corbel are two Hand-wrought Candle Branches maintaining their original paint with Tôle Foliage and Crystal Acorns that ascend up to the Crystal Drip Cups and Tôle Bobeches.
