Large Danish Modern Opal Glass & Brass Wall Lamps, Louis Poulsen, Denmark, 1950

About the Item

Amazing set of wall lamps designed in Denmark in 1953 by Mogens Hammer & Henning Moldenhawer for Louis Poulsen. The lamps are made from solid brass and the onion-shaped shades of hand blown matte opaline glass. They were produced in very limited numbers and are very rarely seen on the market. The style is typical for early Danish modernism and functionalism similar to that of Vilhelm Lauritzen, Arne Jacobsen, Kaj Gottlob etc.
