About the Item

Marvelous and unique large pair of wall sconces in ribbed mouth-blown Murano glass with gold dust inclusions and brass. These refined and unique sconces were designed by Seguso and produced in Murano during the 1950s. Fully original and in fabulous condition, with no chips or cracks. Each sconce features a spectacular large flower-shaped diffuser in hand-blown Murano glass enriched with 24k gold powder inclusions. The softly scalloped rim further enhances the organic silhouette. The diffuser is supported by a beautifully shaped brass arm with fluted details; the brass has a wonderful warm golden patina. When illuminated, the effect is simply breathtaking: the Murano glass reflects the light like a jewel thanks to the gold dust and the outstanding clarity of the blown crystal. Professionally rewired and tested, compatible with both US and EU/UK standards. Each sconce uses a single standard E26/E27 light bulb. An incredibly elegant and timeless pair, perfect to elevate a Mid-Century, Art Deco, or contemporary interior.
