19th Century Italian Gilt Wooden Candlestick Converted Lamps

About the Item

Authenticity and artistry are the calling cards of this pair of 19th century wood gilt candlestick lamp conversions. This is a pair of Italian lead weighted gilt wood antique candlestick lamps. The gilt, burgundy and tan are worn and elegant with a beautiful patina on the wood surface. Both lamps are rewired, and the switch is located on the cord. They were in pieces when we acquired them from an estate sale, and we had them restored. While the wiring is new, the lamps' finish is in original antique condition. The pair could be reimagined and returned to what appears to have been deep, rich baroque style colors. The lamps require a clip shade and the two shown are for demonstration purposes only. These are lovely as buffet lamps or on a console table in their current authentic state.

    Rewired. Repaired: The weights were falling from the base of one of the lamps, and one lamp did not turn on when we acquired it. Both are now in working order. Wear consistent with age and use. These are rare antique authentic pieces that can be used as console table lighting with the proper shades or as buffet lamps.
