Bernard Rooke ceramic table lamps -set- England 1960

About the Item

These sculptural ceramic lamps were designed and produced by British ceramic artist Bernard Rooke in the 1960s. The pieces reflect Rooke’s distinctive approach to studio pottery, combining strong architectural form with hand-built textures and richly layered glazes. The lamp base features an abstract relief design with linear and geometric elements, emphasizing depth and surface variation. Finished in earthy tones with green and bronze hues, the glaze enhances the tactile, almost monumental character of the piece. Each example from this period was individually made, resulting in subtle variations that underscore its handmade nature. Bernard Rooke’s work from the 1960s bridges functional design and sculptural art, making his lamps highly collectible and representative of mid-century British ceramic design. The lamps are in a very god condition. Note that the shades are new, they are included for free as you like. You can also purchase the lamps without the shades.
