- Italian Post Modern Table Lamp made in Murano Glass in the style of Umberto RivaBy Umberto RivaLocated in Roma, ITSplendid Postmodern table lamp produced in Italy by the "Punto Luce" company using glass made by Murano glass artisans. This is an "atmosphere" lamp and not a reading lamp. The dimmable halogen bulb releases a light that is softened and tinged with pastel colors by the shaded and colored Murano glass. The lamp is essentially composed of two modules: The first is a base in light gray overlaid with white Murano glass, decorated with thin iron gray lines. This has a conical shape and houses the halogen bulb inside. The second is a large shaded Murano glass lampshade. Its concave shape, like an upside-down hat or a serving plate; unlike normal "lampshades" which force and direct the light into a cone, this diffuses it upwards, widening its radius.
