About the Item
Chrystiane Charles for Maison Charles rare and very large / tall signed cast brass 'Orphee' table lamp on a burnished patinated metal base. Opulent, ornate and decadent, everything you would expect from beautifully crafted French design. Perfect for any Hollywood Regency home or lover of midcentury design. This piece is signed 'Charles - Made in France'. Very large and huge proportions - a very grand statement piece indeed.
Nicely patinated, the piece is in overall very good vintage condition and it is extremely hard to find an original 'Orphee' model lamp from the 1970s. Although the original shade could do with either restoration or replacing.

Original EU wiring, this lamp requires a single E27/E26 light bulb with 60 Watt maximum.
