About the Item

Beautiful Herman Kahler ceramic, turned into a lamp by Paul Laszlo for the Corolla George estate in Los Angeles, with silver plated fittings. A new custom lampshade in the spirit of the original has been created. This lamp has been recently rewired and restored. The ceramic body is 18" in height.

    Visionary Paul Laszlo designed this mid-century table lamp for Brown Saltman during the 1950s in the United States. Laszlo's designs often featured custom furniture, vibrant colors, rich textures, and a harmonious blend of traditional and modern elements. Throughout his career, Laszlo worked on various projects ranging from private residences to hotels, clubs, and corporate spaces. His notable works include the interiors of the iconic Cocoanut Grove nightclub at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles, as well as the renowned Brown Derby restaurant.
