Emeralite 8734 Series Double Library Desk Lamp in Brass and Glass, Rewired

About

First produced in 1909, the Emeralite desk lamp was the creation of Harrison McFaddin of New York. They are often referred to as "library" lamps, or "lawyers" lamps. The glass shades are quite unique, created by sandwiching an interior of white milk glass with an exterior of rich green glass. The shades are held onto the form with four clips, allowing them to be removed for cleaning. Our lamp has a patent date of 1916, and this series was produced into the 1930s. We have rewired the lamps with brown silk cord, so they look and work fantastic. Both shades are in excellent original condition, without chips or cracks.
