A fine and quite unusual pair of antique French ormolu-mounted Pate Sur Pate porcelain vases, beautifully decorated in the orientalist motif, originally mounted as oil lamps, still having the original oil lamp fittings. Each vase decorated in the Islamic motif and having Arabic writing in 24-karat gold, possibly commissioned for an important Mosque,
Paris, circa 1860. Later converted to lamps, need to be rewired.
