French 19th Century Louis XVI Style Porcelain, Gilt and Ormolu Lamp
About the Item
A fabulous French 19th century Louis XVI st. cobalt blue Sèvres porcelain, gilt and ormolu lamp. The lamp is raised by a fine circular base with a bottom ormolu band and fine foliate gilt accents at the fluted socle support. The elegantly shaped body displays additional gilt accents and striking richly chased ormolu rams heads to each side and a beautiful rosette in a warm satin and burnished finish. A most decorative gilt and spiral fluted design extends upwards to the ormolu top cap. All original gilt throughout.
