French Vintage Hand-Carved Wood Table Lamp with New Shade and Cord
About the Item
French vintage mid-century table lamp in the manner of Charles Dudouyt, all hand-carved from beech as a square double-helix pattern of complex geometric patterns. The design has Brutalist, architectural appeal with an organic warmth from the dark stain that creates dimension within the facets of the column. It is mounted on a square base carved to a peak on opposing sides and a bevel on the other two. A felt pad underneath protects the table surface from scratching. Professionally cleaned and rewired for US electrical using UL-listed components, adding a new linen shade to diffuse the light of a medium-base bulb and new braided electrical cord. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering its age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos.
