Lee Rosen for Design Technics Textured Ceramic Table Lamp

About the Item

Lee Rosen designed this striking mid-century modern ceramic table lamp for Design Technics, New York. Founded by Lee and Samuel Rosen in the 1940s, Design Technics became one of the most important American studios producing handcrafted ceramic lighting and accessories during the postwar era. Their pieces are prized for bold forms, innovative glazes, and distinctive surface textures. The lamp features a generously proportioned, hand-thrown stoneware body with a prominent horizontal band of intricate pressed/reeded texture—giving it a highly tactile, sculptural quality. The earthy beige/taupe matte glaze beautifully highlights the organic throwing lines and the rich, layered surface details. It retains the original drum shade as shown in the images but not included unless desired. The Jens Risom Dining Chairs and Redwood Modernist Coffee Table are available in other listings. Shown for scale. Dimensions: 29" (to top of finial) x 10" Dia. Height with shade: 33"
