About

This rare and extraordinary lamp, composed of molded, gilded and enameled glass in a trapezoidal shape, depicts angel fish, Siamese fighting fish and another exotic specimen swimming among seaweed and a sea anemone. A spectacular example of Art Deco eglomise painting, each fish and sea creature is gilded or enamel painted on the back side, and the electrical cord is cleverly hidden behind the curving form of the main sea plant. The glass is internally lit from below, and the lamp is surmounted by a traditional lamp socket. The lamp retains its original wood base.
