London based artist, Margit Wittig creates bespoke lighting and occasional furniture. All pieces are hand-made and through her work Margit allows her clients to evoke a narrative to express their own taste and style in their interiors. Although the work is contemporary, it is often blended into classically styled interiors. Margit’s work can best be described as versatile, functional art although she is an artist, sculptor and painter by training. Kit Kemp of Firmdale Hotels – think New York’s Whitby Hotel and London’s Ham Yard - describes Margit’s work as ‘curious, intriguing, classical yet lyrical’. All of her lighting, furniture and accessories are made to order and come in resin, some with touches of hand-blown glass.
