This L.C.T. Tiffany Favrile bronze pottery lamp base was one of Louis Comfort Tiffany’s later interests and very few were made before his death. Very large and heavy; it was made of pottery with a bronze finish still unknown as no one ever made it before 2000 years ago. Maybe a few hundred are known to exist and only a handful of lamp bases have been documented. Exemplifying the quality only Tiffany can create; this large handled jug shows 4 Greek nude men two playing the flutes, one with a scepter and the last with a bushel of food. The bronze 3 cluster light fixture is tiffany with the spacer and 4.25 inch wheel being added later.
