The empire style is one of the most appreciated to this day for its invaluable value. It is a current of the nineteenth century: Neoclassicism, of which it is the highest expression. Interested in furniture, architecture, decorative and visual arts, the Empire style characterised each field in a distinctive way; it went beyond the geographical limits of birth to expand much further and enjoy enormous success. First of all, since Napoleon's Empire style is a current of Neoclassicism, the reference to classical art is evident, both in furniture and architecture.
