Original John Saladino Modern Blown Glass Cylindrical Table Lamps, Pair

About the Item

Pair of original Model #999 table lamps designed by John Saladino, circa 1970's. These iconic lamps are constructed of heavy-walled, industrial-grade clear Pyrex glass. One lamp has original "T.M. REG. PYREX U.S. PAT. OFF" stamp etched directly into the glass. Both lamps are accented with chrome hardware and white acrylic disk diffusers. Original paper shades included. Described by Saladino himself as "as close as I can come to a non-lamp," the fixture features a completely seamless, clear industrial glass cylinder base that creates the visual illusion of floating in mid-air. Both lamps feature French wiring, a technique where the electrical cord runs externally from the lamp socket down the outside of the lamp body. One lamp has dimmer on/off switch on cord. Both lamps in working condition.
